CRAFTED:

THE item above is currently being hand drawn on a sheet of 100% cotton using pencil, black ball-point pen, gel pens and wax map colors.

CHARACTER:

REPRESENTING the monolithic memorial stones that were mysteriously raised after each of the four major Prophets had been slain. Kashon killed by many arrow-bolts (top left), Nadan, had a tent peg pounded in his temple (bottom left), Kyon the son of Nadan; he was beheaded(top right), and Omaylow beheaded (bottom right). Once a year the stones would bleed and after four days the blood would recede without trace, so in time the growing numbers of on lookers would bring flowers, necklaces and statues as tribute to mark the extent of the blood-pool.

MAP EXPLAINED:

Inset Map: The Northern Woods, The Iron Hills, The River Sa'luhun. The "stone-wall road" from Mithar/Lindol to Elosh in the north. Along the road nearing Elosh on the edges of the growing desert's cracks were The Bleeding Stone of the Oasis of Orid (meaning Sorrow).

Compass: Outer ring in Senenya says: "Blessed Be The Unspeakable Name". The cardinal points of the compass are shown with the symbols of the phases of the moon, marking the lunar times when the Prophets were martyred. Written in the Tusa font are the names of the four major prophets: Kashon, Nadan, Kyon, and Omaylow.

Memorial Ring: After four days the blood from the stones receded without a trace and so in time onlookers brought mementos to acknowledge the occurrence with flowers, four-beaded necklaces, statuettes of the slain prophets.

VERSE TRANSLATED:

The two stanzas are taken from a much longer verse entitled Ode to Fayendar. Yet to be transcribed...

The English Translation of the verse on this scroll reads:

A work in progress...
